Tru by Hilton Troy Detroit

I will say my stay was such a great experience staying here.! It was very comfortable, quiet and clean. I realized only one problem with the faucet handle and called maintenance and they definitely jumped right on it. When Zach reached my door I was so surprised how quick that was. He did an awesome job fixing it very quick.! Very polite as well. The service here is recommended. They care about their visitors. Will be staying here again.

Wonderful stay! I was here for an event nearby. All of the staff were so kind! Erin was very helpful during our stay with any requests we needed!! Room was clean very comfortable. 10/10

When I enter a hotel I like to be greeted by the desk staff. Their demeanor sets the tone for my stay. My greeting by Brittani and Angel was exceptional! Friendly, happy , informative and efficient. Brittani continued to follow up during our 4 day stay. The lobby was well laid out, colorful and inviting. The hallway was clean and bright. The room was well planned - plenty of light and outlets. It was not plush, like a $500/night hotel, but very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and bright with plenty of shelf space and three wall hooks. The walk in shower had a grab bar (which, surprisingly, many hotels don’t). The included breakfast was good. An array of hot and cold choices and fruits.

I had such a great stay at the Tru by Hilton Troy! The team went above and beyond to make me and my pups feel welcome. The thoughtful note and dog treats were such a nice touch! The room was clean, comfortable, and modern, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly. Thanks to the Tru crew for the hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

Small rooms, but great for an overnight stay when we just needed a bed. The pool was not heated though, and thus too cold. But still, fantastic value. Breakfast was good, better than the usual continental.

Very accommodating hotel with an amazing staff. They are all so friendly and welcoming. I really enjoy the complimentary breakfast they have here. Dita is so friendly and fulfills any request I have from her. She’s always smiling and makes sure that everything is always stocked for all guests to enjoy.

Not the best but not the worst! Decided to stay at this Hilton to give it a try on a trip from Canada. Love the design of the room and the lobby. I could have sworn I checked into a room on the 5th floor and when I got my digital key closer to arrival, it gave me a room on the 2nd. We were only there for a day so we didn’t complain. The room was decent, some spots were missed when sweeping/mopping from the custodians and a yellow rag was left in the sink but we just put it aside and left it be since it was a short stay. I figured much wouldn’t be done anyways. Good for 3 adults! Beds were comfortable but 3 pillows on each bed is a weird number since it’s usually 4 pillows on each queen/king bed if I were to compare to other hotels. Didn’t interact with staff as much since we walked right into our room. Breakfast was decent but it was good enough! We had pancakes, cereal, oatmeal, eggs and sausage patties. I enjoyed the atmosphere during breakfast. Would I stay here again? If the price was good yes, otherwise I would rather go to my regular Hilton just up the road.

I love the lobby, I thought it looked so cute. I like how modern the rooms looked but the blanket seemed a little thinner and smaller than other hotels we have stayed at. We stayed in a room on the first floor which was close to the mechanical room and we heard the furnace turn on and off almost all night. The TV had access to Netflix which was cool. We thought the complimentary breakfast was really nice. We loved the pancake maker and that breakfast was available from 6AM-10 AM. Coffee was also available in the lobby 24/7. The floors were sticky but I am not sure if they didn’t mop or if it was just because they were hard wood. We didn’t swim in the pool or use the fitness center. Our only request is that we get a thicker and bigger blanket. We would come back! It is a quiet and nice place to relax and get away for the weekend.
